Terms of service

These terms govern every rental from WiFi Without Walls. Booking a rental means you agree to them.

1. The rental

You are renting equipment, not buying it. The kit, including the dish, router, access points, cables, power supplies, and the shipping box itself, remains our property and must come back at the end of the rental period. Rental days run from your rental start date to your rental end date; the day you hand the box to the return carrier is not billed.

2. Payment and pricing

The full rental price, your selected data plan, and any applicable deposit are charged at checkout through Stripe. All prices are computed on our servers from the current published rates. Your card details are stored by Stripe, not by us, and are kept on file for the charges described in these terms.

3. Deposits

Where a kit carries a refundable equipment deposit, the deposit is charged as part of your checkout payment. It is a real charge, not a temporary authorization hold. After the equipment is returned and passes inspection, we refund the deposit in full to your original payment method. If equipment comes back damaged or incomplete, we may retain part or all of the deposit to cover repair or replacement and will refund the remainder, with an itemized explanation of anything withheld.

4. Data plans and overage

Your rental includes the data plan you selected at booking. Usage beyond the plan is billed at $0.75 per GB, charged automatically to your card on file after the rental ends and usage is finalized. Usage is measured by the satellite provider and rounded up to the next whole gigabyte.

5. Shipping and returns

We ship each kit to arrive before your rental start date and include a prepaid return label. You are responsible for handing the packed kit to the return carrier promptly after your rental end date. Equipment that is not returned within a reasonable period after the rental end date may be billed at its replacement value to your card on file, in addition to accrued rental days.

6. Equipment care and acceptable use

Use the equipment as directed, keep it reasonably protected from weather beyond its design, and do not open, modify, or attach unauthorized hardware to it. Service must be used lawfully; we may suspend service for unlawful use. Satellite service quality depends on sky visibility and network conditions and is provided as-is; we do not guarantee specific speeds.

7. Cancellations

Contact us before your kit ships for a full refund. Once a kit has shipped, rental charges apply, and refunds for unused days are at our discretion. If we cannot fulfill your rental, you receive a full refund including any deposit.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including losses caused by service interruptions.
