Starlink dish at an overland basecamp beside a UTV

Starlink Rental for Off-Roading & UTVs

Run maps, weather, and a working phone from basecamp, deep past the last bar of signal.

Overland routes and UTV trails go exactly where cell coverage does not. A rented Starlink kit sets up at basecamp and gives the whole group fast internet for maps, weather, and staying reachable while you are out on the trail.

It runs off a rig's 12V system with an inverter or a portable power station, packs down to a laptop-sized case, and ships back with the prepaid return label.

Coverage past the trailhead

BLM land, staging areas, and remote basecamps all get real internet as long as the dish has a clear view of the sky.

Add the car mount

Pair the Mini Kit with the car-roof mount add-on to run it from a rig or side-by-side at camp instead of the ground.

Built to get knocked around

The kit ships in a rugged case and sets up in minutes, so a rough approach to camp is no problem.

Recommended kit

Starlink Mini Kit

Compact and low-power for basecamp, and it pairs with the car-mount add-on for rig-top setups. It is the kit we send for overland and UTV trips.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it while driving the trail?
This rental is for use while stopped at camp or a staging area, with the dish set for a clear view of the sky. In-motion use needs a different, permanently mounted Starlink product.
Can I mount it to my rig or UTV?
Yes. Add the car-roof mount add-on at checkout to run the dish from the top of a vehicle at camp. On the ground with open sky works too.
How hard is setup at basecamp?
Setup takes about 10 minutes: place the dish with a clear view of the sky, plug in the power, and connect to the WiFi network printed on the kit. No technician, no account setup.
What if I use more data than my plan includes?
You pick a data plan at booking. If you use more, extra data is billed at $0.75 per GB after your rental ends. No surprise mid-trip shutoffs.
